Job Brief:

As a highly skilled and experienced Head of Technical Architecture to leading our software development company's technical architecture strategy and drive excellence in solution design, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the architectural vision, ensuring the alignment of technology solutions with business objectives, and driving innovation and technical excellence across projects. You will lead a team of architects, providing guidance, mentorship, and thought leadership to deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions.


Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Architecture Strategy:
  2. Define and communicate the company's technical architecture strategy, vision, and roadmap.
  3. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development and architecture.
  4. Assess business requirements, industry standards, and market trends to guide architectural decision-making.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  6. Solution Design and Architecture:
  7. Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.
  8. Define and enforce architectural guidelines, standards, and best practices across projects.
  9. Conduct architecture reviews, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  10. Drive innovation and ensure the use of appropriate technologies and frameworks to achieve business goals.
  11. Technical Leadership and Team Management:
  12. Lead a team of architects, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
  13. Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  14. Set performance goals, conduct regular feedback sessions, and evaluate team members.
  15. Collaborate with other department heads to build cross-functional teams and foster a cohesive work environment.
  16. Stakeholder Collaboration:
  17. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including product managers, business leaders, and clients, to understand requirements and provide technical expertise.
  18. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to articulate technical solutions and address concerns.
  19. Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors, industry partners, and relevant professional networks.
  20. Technology Evaluation and Adoption:
  21. Evaluate new and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and platforms to enhance software development capabilities.
  22. Conduct proof-of-concepts and feasibility studies to assess the suitability of new technologies.
  23. Provide recommendations on technology adoption, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.


Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Software Architect, or similar role in a software development company.
  2. In-depth knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  3. Strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable, robust, and secure software architectures.
  4. Proficiency in a wide range of technologies, languages, frameworks, and platforms.
  5. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team of architects.
  6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
