Job brief:

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer who is passionate about building efficient, scalable, and high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in server-side development and be proficient in Node.js and its ecosystem.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Build, extend, and maintain NodeJS based federated REST API applications in a microservices environment.
  2. Setup and maintain APIs back-ends and corresponding front-end applications.
  3. Write test-suites for our most sensitive micro-services, frameworks and front-end applications.
  4. Maintain healthy DevOps cycles and improve upon our CI/CD pipelines.
  5. Continuously improve the quality and robustness of digital solutions through iterative development, adequate testing and documentation.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally alongside other engineers to ensure consistent delivery.


Required Skills :

  1. Write readable, reusable, and maintainable code.
  2. Strong modern Node.js development skills.
  3. Strong understanding of REST API design and implementation.
  4. Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.
  5. Participate in code reviews to ensure that the standards for code quality are met.
  6. Demonstrate your proficiency with your language of choice, while covering all bases.
  7. Provide clear, clean, well-organized, correct, and clearly annotated/classifiable code in the response.
  8. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  9. At least 1-3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end OR full-stack engineer
  10. Demonstrable experience with developing web apps using modular development and scalable architectures as well as a strong focus on code readability and security/stability (i.e. testing)
  11. Proficiency with the language's syntax and conventions.
  12. At least 1-2+ Years of experience in NestJS frameworks.
  13. Experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript.
  14. Solid understanding of JavaScript ES6.
  15. Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.


Additional Skills:

  1. Ability to debug and resolve technical issues efficiently
  2. Knowledge of authentication frameworks such JWT
  3. Problem solving mindset
  4. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  5. strong familiarity with best practices around logging and monitoring
  6. experience with working in fast-growing scale-up and managing the associated  transition in terms of software / product development
  7. being capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
  8. proven experience working in a fast-paced software development environment  leveraging core Agile principles


Good to have:

  1. Nice to have some prior software Quality Assurance and Test Planning experience  
  2. Good to have knowledge of OpenID connect specifications, including the underlying OAuth 2.0 specifications.  
  3. Good to have knowledge of Redis DB.
